This article recounts my recent experience taking a shuttle bus from Hoi An to Da Nang International Airport’s domestic terminal in April 2025.
Initial Misinformation at Da Nang Airport
Upon my arrival at Da Nang Airport, I was informed that there was no shuttle bus service to Hoi An. This contradicted the information I had found online, leading me to take a Grab taxi to Hoi An, which cost 2,147 yen.
Discovering the Shuttle Service in Hoi An
However, once in Hoi An, I noticed numerous signs for shuttle buses throughout the city, confirming that a service does indeed operate between Hoi An and Da Nang Airport. It’s possible that the airport staff may have been referring to the absence of a public bus service rather than a private shuttle.
Barri Ann Travel: Your Shuttle Provider
The shuttle bus service is operated by a private company called Barri Ann Travel. Reservations can be conveniently made online through their website. For those who prefer in-person inquiries, Barri Ann Travel also has a physical office located in Hoi An.
My Journey to the Airport
On the day of my departure, I boarded a pre-booked van at a designated pick-up spot in Hoi An. This van then transferred me to a larger bus, which proceeded directly to the domestic terminal of Da Nang Airport. For international travelers, the international terminal is just a short walk away.
